We are seeking passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTAs) to work in local Portsmouth Primary Schools.
As an HLTA, you will be supporting the teaching and learning across various year groups within the school. You work closely with teaching staff, lead small groups for reading, numeracy etc and deliver pre-planned lessons in the teachers absence. You may also be required to provide targeted interventions to support student's progress and attainment. This would be a brilliant role for someone with an HLTA qualification who is looking to broaden their skills to become a teacher.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant your main responsibilities will be:
* Leading small group interventions to support students' learning and development.
* Delivering pre-planned lessons under the guidance of teaching staff when they are not in the class.
* Providing support to students with additional needs, including SEN and EAL learners, to facilitate their inclusion and progress.
* Support the school's safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare and safety of all students at all times.
To be considered to work with Academics as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Portsmouth you must have a HLTA qualification or equivalent. Ideally you'll have had experience in the education sector and will be confident in the curriculum.
You will also need the right to work in the UK, be based in Portsmouth and have (or be willing to submit) and enhanced DBS check.
