Academics Southampton have an exciting opportunity for a Year 1 Teacher in the local area. This position is to start after the Easter holidays and will continue until the end of the academic year, it is on a full time basis (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm) and will include planning and marking.
As a Year 1 teacher at this school you will adopt their ethos of focusing on each child as an individual, and working in partnership with parents to ensure that each child receives the emotional, social and educational support required in order to feel fulfilled throughout their primary education. Taking on this role means you'd be working with a team who are committed and dedicated to creating a supportive environment for both children and staff.
To be considered for this position as a Year 1 teacher you'll:
* Be confident in planning and delivering creative, engaging lessons following the curriculum for Year 1.
* Show good behaviour management skills within the classroom to make sure each lesson runs smoothly.
* Be reliable and committed to the role.
* Have the ability to adapt lessons to support various levels of learner.
You must also have UK recognised QTS, a DBS (or be willing to submit one), be based in Southampton and have the right to work in the UK.
