Primary Teacher – Year 5 (part time opportunity)
Academics are seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 5 Primary Teacher to join a Stoke primary school on a long-term supply basis. This position requires commitment for two days per week, following a three-week full-time cover period. The successful candidate will undertake full class teacher responsibilities.
Role Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the Year 5 curriculum.
* Provide effective classroom management to create a positive learning environment.
* Assess students progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive educational experience for students.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students progress and well-being.
* Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other school activities as required.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably in Year 5.
* Strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and promote positive behaviour.
* Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
* Flexibility to adapt teaching approaches based on students needs and abilities.
