We are looking for Teaching Assistants to join us on a supply basis in Barnsley (short and long term opportunities).

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing valuable support to teachers in the classroom, helping to ensure every child reaches his or her full potential. This is a varied role and your duties will vary based on the needs of each class or school.
You will be expected to:
* Support teachers in encouraging children to reach their potential
* Help create a safe and positive learning environment.
* Assist in classroom management.
* Monitor students’ behaviour and interact with them;
* Prepare teaching materials and resources.
* Work with a range of abilities and use appropriate teaching techniques.
* Assist children with basic needs, participate in playground activities and look after their well-being.
Ideally, you will have a level 3 qualification in teaching or equivalent, experience working in a similar role and an excellent understanding of the national curriculum.
You will be a patient, encouraging and motivated individual, with excellent communication and organisational skills. You must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of working as part of a dedicated team, have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate experience of effectively teaching individuals and groups.
