Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Role Overview: We are seeking a committed and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting children with autism, ensuring they receive the tailored assistance they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with autism across various age groups.
* Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized learning activities and interventions, tailored to the specific needs of each student.
* Support students in developing social skills, communication, and independence.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to implement personalized education plans (PEPs) and behavior management strategies.
* Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels safe, valued, and respected.
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team and contributing to progress reviews and meetings.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders is highly desirable.
* A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs and a commitment to the school's ethos.
* Availability and commitment to a long-term position within the school.
* Level 3 qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field are preferable, although candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
