SEN Teacher

SEN Teacher – Hastings – September 2024

Position Overview:

As an SEN Teacher you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with special educational needs. You will work closely with students, their families, and a team of dedicated professionals to create a tailored educational experience that addresses their unique needs and helps them thrive academically and personally.

Main Responsibilities of a SEN Teacher:

* Develop and deliver personalized learning plans that cater to the specific needs of each student with SEN. Adapt teaching methods and materials to ensure accessibility and engagement.
* Regularly assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
* Collaborate with colleagues, educational psychologists, and support staff to create a cohesive support network for SEN students. Attend meetings with parents and other professionals to discuss student progress and strategies.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest SEN teaching techniques and best practices. Attend relevant training sessions and workshops to continuously improve your skills.

Requirements needed to become a SEN Teacher:

* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with diverse learners.
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student.
* Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive resources.
* Provide details for us to complete reference checks prior to employment
* You will require to pass a DBS check with no reprimands (we can assist you with this)
* You will have relevant teaching qualifications (teaching degree with QTS or equivalent)
