Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant.

Calling all aspiring educational psychologists…we need you!

If you hold a Psychology degree and possess a passion for a fulfilling career working with children, an exciting opportunity awaits you in Worcester/Worcestershire. We are collaborating with a range of infant and primary schools in Worcestershire and they are in search of Learning Support Assistant’s for the remainder of the academic year. We are working on behalf of mainstream schools in and around Worcestershire who would like Learning Support Assistant’s to join their team to ensure that their leaners are reaching their full potential.

About the Role of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) : This role offers a unique chance to work with students in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), KS1 and KS2, KS3 and KS4 with diverse needs, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH). We are seeking individuals who would like to gain some professional experience working with children and would like to develop their knowledge and in the psychological field of education.

Ideal Candidate Traits: If you are interested in launching a career focused on children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and are eager to contribute to shaping young lives, this could be the perfect start for you. The position starts immediately, is term-time-only.

Key Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA):

* Provide teaching support in small groups and with individual pupils.
* Assist with the general pastoral care of students.
* Promote positive values, attitudes, and good pupil behaviour.
* Actively encourage the inclusion of all students in school life and activities.
* Support the teacher with progress monitoring.
* Assist in planning and learning activities.
* Support pupils in educational and social development by modelling positive behaviour and setting high expectations.
* Promote and reinforce the inclusion, acceptance, and integration of all pupils.

Requirements:

* Passion and enthusiasm to contribute to the development of the next generation.
* Interest in primary school education or SEN. Previous experience is preferred but not compulsory.
* Psychology Degree (2:2 or above).
* High expectations of teaching and learning.

* Positive role-modelling capabilities.
* Eagerness to develop professionally.
