Academics work with the best SEN environments around London and we are currently working with an excellent special needs school in Chessington that requires staff for the new school year.
The school supports pupils from ages 9 - 19 with a range of learning difficulties including autism and complex needs. This role is a fantastic opportunity to be surrounded by experienced professionals and learn about the variety and scope of supporting those with additional needs.
The Candidate - SEN Teaching Assistants - Chessington
* Experience of working with children with SEN (ASD / SLD)
* A can do attitude and a willingness to help in other areas of the classroom
* The ability to use initiative and work well under pressure
* The ability to communicate effectively with the children and other staff members
* Experience in non verbal communication (PECS, Makaton, BSL, Signalong)

* Working with children with SEN (ASD / SLD)
* Assisting pupils in their day to day needs
* Working alongside other staff to help the students progress with their independence and well being
* Reporting on individual pupils progress
