A lovely primary school in Waltham Forest, London are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join them as soon as possible. This will be a long term contract until the end of the academic year with the view of a permanent contract for the right candidate.

** Monday to Friday (8:30am-3:45pm)

This is a large, vibrant and happy primary school located in Waltham Forest, London with a positive approach to learning and behaviour.

They are located within walking distance of 3 tube stations. They also have a number of bus routes that stop directly outside of the school making this school extremely accessible via public transport. There is also a large car park for those who drive.

For this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will be required to provide day-to-day support, delivering 1:1 and small group sessions as well as helping to plan lessons by preparing resources and materials.

You will be required to work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to provide a happy and fun environment for your key child to learn and enjoy attending school.

The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:

* You must have experience of working within a primary school
* You must have recent SEN Teaching Assistant experience
* You must have experience using either Makaton, PECS or Colourful Semantics
* You must have experience working with children with either Autism, Down Syndrome, Global Delay, Speech & Language Difficulties, Complex Needs/ Challenging Behaviour, SEMH, EBD, MLD, ADHD or Aspergers
* You must be open to working with children in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 (depending on your preference)

This SEN Teaching Assistant role will suit either an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or an aspiring class teacher. You must have some form of SEN TA experience for this role.
