The Role
MLD SEN Teaching Assistant
You will supporting a Year 3 (KS2) SEN pupil within this Aylesbury Primary school who has moderate learning difficulties (MLD). Children with moderate learning difficulties (MLD) will have noticeably more difficulty accessing education then their peers, typically struggle with learning basic numeracy and maths.
The Aylesbury Primary school will offer paid trial days for you to get a real idea of the experience before committing to the position in this SEN teaching assistant role.
The Student
MLD SEN Teaching Assistant
As stated previously, the student is in year 3 in this Aylesbury primary school but is working at KS1 Level so needs additional support with the curriculum. This student is a well-behaved individual and just requires consistency to enable progression. The ideal candidate will have a caring presence, patient and dedication to the student in this SEN teaching Assistant role.
Expectations
* An experienced teaching assistant, familiar with Moderate learning difficulties (MLD).
* Experienced working with children with mental health needs
* Able to offer physical education as support
* Comfortable working on a 1-1 basis
* Able to hold student attention and focus with excellent communication skills
* Promote happiness, self-reliance and encourage positive interactions
* Able to get to this Aylesbury Primary School
