Do you have experience working with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? The Role – SEN Health Care Workers – Kingston Upon Thames

Academics is currently recruiting several Health Care Workers for a college in South London that provides education to students aged 16 to 23 with a range of learning difficulties. This dynamic role involves supporting students both within the classroom and in the community, offering a diverse and rewarding experience where no two days are the same.

The Candidate – SEN Health Care Workers – Kingston Upon Thames

We are seeking dedicated individuals with a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs. The ideal candidate will have:

* Experience of working with children, particularly those with SEN (ASD/SLD/PMLD/SEMH).
* Experience of working within the care industry, whether with children or adults.
* A can-do attitude and a willingness to assist in various areas of the classroom.
* The ability to use initiative and work effectively under pressure.
* Strong communication skills to engage with students and collaborate with other staff members.
* Training in any of the following areas would be advantageous: Manual Handling, Hoist Training, Makaton/PECS/BSL, Team Teach, Feeding & Changing.
