Academics is currently recruiting several Health Care Workers for a college in South London that provides education to students aged 16 to 23 with a range of learning difficulties. This dynamic role involves supporting students both within the classroom and in the community, offering a diverse and rewarding experience where no two days are the same.
The Candidate – SEN Health Care Workers – Kingston Upon Thames
We are seeking dedicated individuals with a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs. The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience of working with children, particularly those with SEN (ASD/SLD/PMLD/SEMH).
* Experience of working within the care industry, whether with children or adults.
* A can-do attitude and a willingness to assist in various areas of the classroom.
* The ability to use initiative and work effectively under pressure.
* Strong communication skills to engage with students and collaborate with other staff members.
* Training in any of the following areas would be advantageous: Manual Handling, Hoist Training, Makaton/PECS/BSL, Team Teach, Feeding & Changing.
