Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience of teaching/covering for a class teacher?

Do you have a Level 4 or above certificate, in teaching and support?

Are you thinking about becoming a teacher and would like to experience working in a class before undertaking teacher training?

We have the perfect role for you as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) at a fantastic school in Harrow.

Details on the HLTA position:

* Contract to start 04th March 2024, interviews to commence 26th February 2024
* Situated in London Borough of Harrow
* Salary: £90 - £110 per day
* Minimum prior experience as a Teaching Assistant required or HLTA certified

The successful HLTA will be:

* Delivering pre-planned lessons to pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) in the absence of the teacher
* Assisting pupils in their learning and helping prepare the classroom
* working with children 1:1 or delivering sessions with small groups of students
* Coordinating group activities with various groups of pupils
* managing classroom resources
* managing heightened behaviours and keeping children safe
* Working in accordance with the school's policies
* Providing frequent feedback to both parents and other members of staff

Academics are working with a three form entry primary school in Harrow who are looking for a HLTA to join their school.

The school would like to appoint a HLTA who has previous experience working within a primary school setting in Harrow, as either a Teaching assistant or a HLTA. To thrive in this role you will display good behaviour management skills, backed by the ability to communicate effectively with members of staff and parents. You should be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently using your own initiative as well as having the confidence and knowledge to deliver 1 to 1, small group and whole class activities.

The school is Ofsted graded as Outstanding and are conveniently located within easy access to local buses and underground tube stations, additionally on-site parking is also provided for staff.
