Academics are currently looking for qualified and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant’s (HLTA) for day-to-day support, and short and long term supporting roles. Working in our partnership primary and secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme can be diversified, meaning that we proudly work with an assortment of schools that have different requirements to suit.

Academics are known to have a strong record of placing many of our HLTA & TA’s into long-term contracts, as well as permanent work following a successful period of long-term support within some of our schools.

Role Responsibilities:

* Collaboratively working with the class teacher to plan exciting lessons.
* Preparing the classroom, such as setting up equipment for lessons, etc.
* Supporting students of all abilities and needs by providing engaging and interesting work.
* Excellent classroom behaviour management.
* Teaching the class when the teacher is absent.
* Delivering work set by the class teacher.

Role Requirements:

* Mandatory attained HLTA status and the relevant qualifications; gained through classroom experience of working as a HLTA in a school setting.
* Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
* Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to support learners in Key Stage 1, 2, 3, or 4.
* A good level of English, Maths, and ICT skills.
* Ability to be self-motivated and driven to support the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
