A well-established primary school based in Gloucester have begun their search for a Year 1 Teacher to join them in the new academic year. They hope to find either an Early Career Teacher or an Experienced KS1 Teacher to join their excellent KS1 team. This primary school were graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in their recent inspection and it is two-form entry meaning that the successful Year 1 teacher will have a co-teacher to share planning with. The school’s values are based around trust, integrity and family and they pride themselves on being inclusive for all.

The primary school has a fantastic track record of success with academic achievements as well as extra-curricular activities and sports. The school promotes outdoor learning and has a focus on mental and physical well-being for staff and students. The head teacher has a great reputation within the area and has a hands-on approach. The primary school allow their teachers to have creative freedom with their lesson planning promoting autonomy.
For a Year 1 Teacher just starting in their career, the primary school has seen many ECTs join and progress into positions of responsibility and even leadership. They have an exceptional induction programme that offers ample support to ECTs. For those more experienced there are various different paths for the Year 1 Teacher – there is the potential to become a Year Group Lead for the right candidate. Additional, there is the potential for a Phase Lead position, dependent on the suitability of the candidate.
