This School is a dedicated Special School located in Tower Hamlets, committed to providing exceptional education and support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Our school prides itself on creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.

Job Description: Seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children with SEN, including but not limited to autism, speech and communication difficulties, and complex needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide invaluable support to both teachers and students, assisting in the delivery of tailored education plans and ensuring each child receives the individualized attention they require to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support students with SEN in their learning and development, both academically and socially.
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
* Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to meet the diverse needs of our students.
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed by the SENCO or class teacher.
* Encourage independence and confidence in students, while also providing reassurance and encouragement when needed.

Requirements:

* Experience working with SEN students, particularly those with autism, speech and communication difficulties, and complex needs.
* Prior experience within a school setting in the UK is essential.
* Availability to work Monday to Friday, during school hours.
* Possession of an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check or willingness to undergo one prior to starting work.
* A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to supporting children with diverse learning needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
