Teaching Assistant in Orpington
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who is keen to undertake a new challenge to support the learning of pupils with Autism.
Academics are looking to recruit 2 full time Teaching assistants to work on a long term basis at a school in Orpington. The school is on track to receive an Outstanding Ofsted grade during their next graded inspection and pupils at the school are described as “highly focused on their learning”. They have identified 2 new January starts pupils who will require additional support hence the need to recruit for 2 experienced teaching assistants.
The school would like to appoint teaching assistants who have recent experience working within the borough of Orpington so have the knowledge of the referral processes and CAHMS. The students joining the school will both be in Reception so experience with the EYFS would be preferable.
The school is located a short walk from Orpington station which provides amazing transport links to the local area and beyond for the appointed teaching assistants. The schools has some of the best academic results in Orpington, this is due to excellent facilities and a true commitment to the “every child matters philosophy”.
Applicants for these Teaching Assistant roles must have:
* Experience working with pupils with SEN
* Child workforce DBS (Ideally on update service)
* 2 recent school based references
* Right to work in the UK
