Job Title: Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant Needed ASAP

Location: Newham, London

About Us: We are a special school located in Newham, London, dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to children and young adults with special educational needs (SEN). Our school caters for primary, secondary, and college-aged students, offering a nurturing environment where every individual can thrive.

Position Overview: We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistants. The ideal candidates will be available to start as soon as possible, possess previous experience within a school setting, and have a strong background in working with children or young adults with autism.

Responsibilities:

* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, including those with autism spectrum disorders.
* Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
* Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging in learning activities across primary, secondary, and college levels.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and respected.
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to meet the diverse needs of our students.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working within a school setting, preferably with students with SEN.
* Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and experience implementing strategies to support individuals with autism.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and developmental needs of children and young adults with SEN.
* Flexibility and adaptability to work across different age groups and educational settings.
* Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field would be advantageous.
