SEN Teaching Assistant

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Enfield Sector: Education and Training

About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant in Year 1 at our school in Enfield, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a non-verbal child with ASD on a 1-2-1 basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a child's life and develop your career.

Responsibilities:

* Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a non-verbal Year 1 student with ASD.
* Implement effective communication techniques tailored to the child's needs.
* Assist the child in their daily activities and learning tasks.
* Support the child's active participation in class and recreational activities.
* Be prepared to provide personal care when necessary.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, preferably with non-verbal children with ASD.
* Strong understanding of communication strategies for non-verbal children.
* Empathy, patience, and a passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
* Ability to adapt and work closely with the teaching team and parents.
* Relevant qualifications in education and training are a plus.

Salary: We offer a competitive daily rate of £80-£100 per day, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
