Key responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Support teaching and learning in SEN schools
* Work with children 1 : 1 and in smaller groups to help deliver a well-rounded support system.
* Manage and support classroom tasks
* Assist other teaching staff on external visits
* Have a good understanding of Mathematics and English
* Have a passion for safeguarding
* Have a calm and adaptable personality for behaviour management
* Promoting positive behaviour
* Encouraging school policies and procedures.
* Have a calm and supportive personality as a nurture teaching assistant.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant
* Have experience or a passion for working with children with SEN needs or within a support role.
* Be flexible, proactive and patient
* Be nurturing and caring in your approaches
* Be able to communicate effectively within a team
* Be open to providing personal care
