Academics Portsmouth are currently seeking motivated, passionate people who are keen on working in local Secondary schools to cover lessons in the case of a teachers absence.
You will be responsible for delivering lessons to students with varying levels of ability across both Key Stage 3 and 4. As a Cover Supervisor you will feel comfortable delivering lessons across subjects and have excellent communication skills to build relationships with both students and staff. You should have a commitment to nurturing a positive environment for learning!
Your responsibilities as a cover supervisor:
* Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure a positive learning experience.
* Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages mental well being and academic progression.
* Implement behaviour management strategies and techniques to address any behaviour in the classroom.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Hold a BA (Hons) degree
* Have a current and updated DBS that’s on the update system or be willing to pay and apply for one.
