These students face additional challenges, including speech and language difficulties, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and various other learning needs. In this dynamic role, you'll provide essential support to students throughout the day, adapting to their unique learning needs and collaborating with the class teacher on specialized techniques for a positive classroom environment. The ideal candidate for the Autism Support Worker position is someone characterized by calmness, adeptness in working well under pressure, and a positive, encouraging demeanour. Preferably, you bring prior experience in supporting children with additional needs. Possession of an enhanced DBS certificate is a requirement, and if not already obtained, a willingness to apply for one is essential. Furthermore, a comprehensive understanding of the significance of safeguarding in school environments is a key aspect of this role.
