Teaching Assistants (PRU) – Birmingham – ASAP

Academics are currently searching for a Teaching Assistant to work within a School within a PRU in Birmingham.

The school is part of a very well established trust of schools within Birmingham, and dedicate themselves to supporting the social and academic development of students who may have come from difficult backgrounds, or who have SEND.

The role will require a strong charismatic and empathetic character, with the ability to understand and develop relationships with those students who they come into contact with. It will be important that the ideal candidate has up-to-date team-teach training, or something to the equivalent of.

As a minimum, the candidate must have:

* Experience working with challenging behaviours, ideally in an educational setting.
* An enhanced DBS, or be willing to obtain one.
* Team teach training, or a similar/equivalent training e.g. MAPA.
* Be able to start ASAP
