Are you a Designated Safeguarding Lead or SENCO looking for take on a project in a developing SEMH school?
The school is an SEN unit for children aged 11-16 who require Social, Emotional and Mental Health support. This means that you would have to be a resilient character who is able to remain positive when dealing with challenging behaviour. The school is currently going through a transition with a purpose built new site due to be opened next year which will increase the maximum capacity and create a diverse and safe environment for children to progress in their learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Working alongside the Head of School and the Executive Head in promoting a shared vision of the school
* You will ideally be a qualified SENCO or working towards the accreditation
* You will have a history of outstanding teaching and be passionate about the welfare of children and their learning
* You will be a role model amongst colleagues displaying strong leadership and organisational skills
The position is initially until the end of this academic year with the possibility of it being extended and becoming permanent.
