Academics are currently seeking a qualified Maths Teacher to join an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' SEN School in Basingstoke for the new Academic year.
September start / temp to Perm and perm opportunity - flexibility and willing to discuss at interview.
This is a specialist school that support secondary aged pupils (11 to 19 years) across two sites in Basingstoke. They provide an engaging environment and a specialist curriculum for young people with Moderate and Severe learning difficulties, including Autism and additional needs.
Their main aims are to make a positive difference to the lives of all pupils at the school, they encourage them to take the lead in living an inspirational happy life!
As a Maths Teacher at this school, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring that the teaching area is organised appropriately to provide a safe, tidy, pleasant and stimulating environment.
* Planning and delivering an appropriate curriculum based on individual needs.
* Teaching over key stages.
* Developing and maintaining positive relationships with families/pupils and staff.
To be considered for this role you must have:
* UK QTS and recent experience in teaching Maths.
* Experience working with pupils with complex needs.
* Specialist SEN training
* Writing and implementing effective behaviour targets for pupils
