Primary SEN Teacher - Lyndhurst - September start!

Academics are looking to recruit an outstanding Primary SEN Teacher to join an amazing SEN School in the New Forest area of Hampshire in Lyndhurst.

The successful Primary SEN Teacher will be responsible for teaching a small group of year 5/6 students who are learning at a lower level. Due to this, the ideal teacher will have experience of teaching phonics. Its a lovely class of about 4/5 children, with support staff.

You will be joining an independent specialist day school for young people with autistic spectrum conditions (ASC) and associated complex needs. They provide education for young people aged 5 to 19 years.

This is a full-time, on-going, possible temp to perm position to start in September.

Key Responsibilities:

* Recent experience working as a Primary SEN Teacher, preferably in an SEN setting
* Confident and experienced in planning & delivering lessons at primary level.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised educational programmes of study that focus on the pupil's strengths, interests, and learning goals, using a range of teaching and learning strategies.
* Work closely with other teachers/support staff team to ensure that the pupil's educational, social, and emotional needs are being met, and to maintain effective communication with the team about the pupil's progress, achievements, and concerns.

Person Specification:

* A qualified teacher with a passion for working with pupils with ASD needs, and experience of working with pupils with a range of additional needs and disabilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and other professionals involved in the pupil's care.
* Highly organised, with excellent planning and time-management skills, and the ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
* A strong commitment to inclusive education, with a clear understanding of the importance of differentiation and meeting the individual needs of pupils.
* A commitment to continuous professional development, and a willingness to undertake training and development to enhance knowledge and skills.
