Excellent opportunity available for Graduates who are thinking about a career in secondary Education and becoming a secondary school teacher in the future, but would first like to develop experience in a secondary school setting.
An East London School based in the London borough of Redbridge are looking to take on two graduates who are passionate about working with young people and are thinking about training to become a secondary school teacher in the future. This teaching assistant role is full time Monday – Friday and will commence in September.
Working as a Graduate teaching assistant role is a fantastic way to gain invaluable school based experience. Each year this East London based secondary school look to take on a handful of graduates who are thinking about training to become a secondary school teacher but would first like to spend the academic year working as a teaching assistant.
Graduates who work at one of our secondary schools usually work closely with students with learning difficulties in a wide range of subject areas. You will get to work closely with various teachers which will stand you in good stead for if you decide to begin teacher training in the future.
The majority of graduates spend the academic year – September – July 2023 working as a teaching assistant before commencing teacher training.
The school are looking for recent graduates who have a strong academic background and some form of experience with young people. You may have gained this experience a number of ways such as tutoring, youth work, sports coaching, overseas teaching, voluntary school work…..
