Salary: 75.95 - 90

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.30 am – 3.30 pm.

Work Location: In Person

What You'll Be Involved in as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

1 Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups with a variety of learning needs, collaborating closely with teachers to implement personalized learning plans.
2 Foster a positive and interactive learning environment, ensuring engagement and achievement for all students with the support of Teaching Assistants.
3 Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each student, with the assistance of Teaching Assistants.
4 Play a key role in building a nurturing and inclusive school community in B68, where every student feels valued and respected, supported by dedicated Teaching Assistants.

Key Attributes We're Seeking in Teaching Assistants:

* Warm and empathetic personality with a genuine interest in supporting students as a Teaching Assistant.
* Prior experience working with students with SEN (Autism, ADHD, etc)
* Familiarity with relevant SEN legislation and frameworks, crucial knowledge for Teaching Assistants.
* Willingness to travel within the North Birmingham area. Discuss your travel situation with our North Birmingham consultants, and we'll strive to place you in nearby schools.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills as a Teaching Assistant.
* Effective organizational and time management abilities, essential for Teaching Assistants.
* Creativity and initiative, with a commitment to discovering new and innovative ways to enhance learning experiences for Teaching Assistants.

Preferred Qualifications for Teaching Assistants:

* Relevant qualifications such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification or equivalent in Special Educational Needs for Teaching Assistants.
* A valid DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service), a standard requirement for Teaching Assistants.
