The branch covers the 3 LEAs in Essex – Thurrock, Southend & Essex. Within Essex LEA we cover schools across the 12 districts of Brentwood, Epping, Harlow, Chelmsford, Uttlesford, Thurrock, Basildon, Southend, Rochford, Tendering, Colchester, Braintree and Maldon.

Yasmin Boffa Yasmin Boffa

Yasmin is the Branch Manager for the Chelmsford office, and works with primary schools in Essex and East London. Yasmin joined Academics in April 2016 as a Resourcer and Compliance Administrator, which gave her an excellent rounded knowledge of what to look for in suitable teachers, senior leaders and support staff. Yasmin progressed to a consultant in October 2017 and has since looked after schools in Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Havering & Essex. In 2022, Yasmin was promoted to Chelmsford Branch manager and along with the rest of her team, covers Primary, Secondary, SEN and Nursery schools across Essex, as well as her original East London patch.

Being originally from East London, and ‘Awesomestow’ as she likes to refer to it as, Yasmin thoroughly enjoys finding suitable staff for local schools so that she can give back to the community in which she grew up in and now her local area of Essex. Prior to joining Academics, Yasmin worked for the London Borough of Waltham Forest as a qualified Careers Adviser, working with Secondary Schools, Colleges and Job Centres. Yasmin is a huge family girl at heart and enjoys walking her dogs Woody, Buzz and Dolly in the Essex countryside.

Sarah O’Leary Sarah O’Leary

Sarah joined Academics in 2022 and is has excellent knowledge of what to look for in suitable teachers, senior leaders and support staff. Before joining Academics, Sarah was a HLTA for a year in a primary school. This experience has given her excellent knowledge of what it means to work in a school and what it takes to be a successful educator.

Prior to becoming a HLTA, Sarah spent 4 years working as a teacher in Vietnam. This allowed Sarah to gain teaching experience while immersing herself in different cultures.

Being originally from Ireland, Sarah enjoys spending time outside in the fresh air. After a few years in Vietnam and now living in England, Sarah really enjoys coming back to Ireland to spend time with her friends and family.

Megan Prendergast Megan Prendergast

Megan joined Academics Chelmsford Branch in November 2022 as a consultant working Primary Schools in South Essex. She has a range of recruitment experience but she is most passionate about education. Megan has worked assisted recruitment for primary schools across Essex for over 4 years and prides herself on genuinely wanting to make a difference and is committed to helping candidates find their perfect role alongside providing exemplary customer service.

With her outgoing and quirky personality, Megan is no stranger to adding a bit of fun to office life and has a history of running office team building games and incentives. When she is not busy planning how she will next get to Disney World she is thinking of imaginative ways to engage with her schools, you can guarantee that the outcome will always be enjoyable.

Paris Boffa Paris Boffa

Paris joined Academics Chelmsford in February 2023 as a Consultant for North Essex looking after both Mainstream Primary Schools and SEN Provisions across North Essex. Prior to joining Academics, Paris worked in Blue Collar recruitment, which involved recruiting for Industrial and Driving staff. She also has a background in Accounting where she gained excellent transferrable skills and a wide understanding of Management Accounts.

Living in North Essex, she is dedicated in speaking with excellent support staff and teachers to place in the right schools in their local area. She thoroughly enjoys helping the future generation of Essex.

Outside of work she enjoys bodybuilding, however is impartial to a chilled day binge watching a series on TV. Paris has a lively Cocker Spaniel who she loves spending time with and certainly keeps her on her toes!
