We are currently working with multiple mainstream primary schools in the Fleet dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience for all pupils. We pride ourselves on our supportive and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team.

Job Description:

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with special educational needs within our mainstream setting. You will work closely with teachers, the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other staff to ensure that all pupils receive the individualized support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with special educational needs.
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support learning activities.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Help with classroom management and organization.
* Support pupils in developing social skills and managing behavior.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to monitor and record pupil progress.
* Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
* Provide personal care assistance as needed.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with children with special needs.
* A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Ability to commute to Fleet.
