Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic ECT Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in located in the vibrant community of Hornchurch. As an ECT Maths Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality mathematics education to students across various age groups, fostering their curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated maths lessons in line with the national curriculum and school policies.
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and motivated to achieve their full potential.
* Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
* Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching practices and contribute to the wider improvement of the maths department.
* Establish effective communication channels with parents/guardians to ensure their involvement in their child's education and progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in mathematics.
* Recent completion of Initial Teacher Training (ITT) or currently enrolled in a recognised ECT induction program.
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics education.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for learning.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
