SEN Teacher

SEN Teacher – Eastbourne – September 2024

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialized education and support to students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher:

* Conduct thorough assessments to identify the unique educational needs and abilities of students with special needs.
* Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements.
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons using various teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles.
* Modify curriculum materials, teaching techniques, and classroom environments to create an inclusive learning experience for all students.
* Collaborate with teaching assistants, educational psychologists, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to students' learning.
* Manage and address challenging behaviors, implement strategies to foster positive behavior, and create a safe and supportive classroom environment.

Requirements needed to become a SEN Teacher:

* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals
* Passion for inclusive education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of students
* Provide details for us to complete reference checks prior to employment
* You will require to pass a DBS check with no reprimands (we can assist you with this)
* You will have relevant teaching qualifications (teaching degree with QTS or equivalent)
