Teachers registered with the agency are encouraged and supported in actively participating in a range of professional development activities.
These activities:
- Are designed to meet your needs at all stages of your career;
- Enable you to work confidently within culturally diverse communities;
- Are planned in partnership with local higher education institutions so that you can receive nationally recognised qualifications;
- Administrated effectively and efficiently so that you have constant access up-to-date information about CPD events;
- Provide you with the opportunity to keep abreast of local, regional and national initiatives that impact on your work

consultation procedures and processes to ensure you have a voice in determining your career opportunities; a dedicated contact person working with a network of education consultants to provide you with up-to-date teaching advice;
a custom built dedicated training room so you can receive quality professional support and a commitment to
monitoring and evaluation that means we constantly seek to improve the quality of our and your work.
As a teacher with Academics you are entitled to:
- induction as you new arrive in the UK, including the identification of a locally based ‘buddy’ to support you in becoming familiar with the educational community;
- mentoring support at school level, provided by an experienced colleague;
- the opportunity to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)within two terms;
- the successful completion of the Newly Qualified Teacher induction year, including school based assessment;
- opportunities to develop an awareness and understanding of current educational issues related to school improvement;
- access a professional development training programme that relates to; QTS standards, raising awareness of aspects of classroom practice, meeting SEN statutory requirements, enabling teachers to manage challenging behaviour;
- opportunities to undertake mentor training, including the development of classroom observational skills;
- opportunities to prepare for senior and middle management posts through a comprehensive leadership and management development programme
