Daniel Wheeler
Daniel is an Associate Director at Academics and the most experienced member of the Secondary Team. He has been working in education recruitment for more than 20 years now and has a built up a strong network of client schools based on trust and performance. Before joining Academics, Daniel was a Regional Branch Manager for another national education recruitment agency. As a former educator, Daniel is very proud of what Academics has been able to achieve since opening in 2003. When he is not in the office, Daniel is a keen DIY’er even though his skill set doesn’t always live up to his passion.
James Wyles
James joined Academics in September 2014 having previously spent three years working in an Ofsted outstanding SEN school. James has been very successful in building solid long lasting relationships with schools and candidates during his time at Academics and prides himself on providing an honest and transparent service. He is responsible for the full recruitment process and specialises in the recruitment of graduate TAs and secondary school teachers. James has a passion for football, boxing, and dogs and in his spare enjoys travelling, going to the gym and socialising with family and friends.
Jack Bisson
I joined Academics in November of 2021, as a Resourcer recruiting Primary and Secondary staff for our schools in North and West London and really enjoying being a part of the team. I strive to make your first experience of Academics personal, straight-forward and exciting. Whether you’re a teacher or support staff, I’ll listen to what you’re looking for, so we give you a seam-less journey from registration to your first day.
I’m always out to seek adventure and experience something new in my spare time. I became a qualified scuba diver in the Caribbean and travelled around Vietnam, spending a week in a remote village, to help build a path through the mountains. I’m out most weekends with my dog Teddy, who’s never too far from me and loves his treats!
