English Teacher – South Worcestershire – April

Your new role:
* You are required to teach English to KS3-KS4 pupils of various different abilities (KS5 is advantageous but not essential) full time 5 day a week
* This full time position is to commence in April, after Easter half term for an ongoing role
* Plan and deliver enthusiastic, engaging and thought provoking English lessons
* Mark and assess pupils work
* Commit to the wider ethos of the school eg. attend meetings where required
* Show good strong classroom management, in line with the school behaviour policy
To be a successful candidate:
You will use inspiring and effective teaching strategies, by delivering a high-quality education in English. You will promote high standards of language and literacy by equipping pupils with a strong command of the spoken and written word and develop their love of literature through widespread reading for enjoyment. You will teach pupils to speak and write fluently so that they can communicate their ideas and emotions to others and through their reading and listening, others can communicate with them. Through reading in particular, pupils have a chance to develop culturally, emotionally, intellectually, socially and spiritually.
