From September, a Calderdale primary school is looking for a school receptionist/administrator, to work within a busy primary school office environment. Not only will the daily running of the office include the basic, front-line tasks that encompass a school administrator role, but you will also be tasked with the use and supervision of systems including SIMS, FMS and Parent Pay. Training will be offered as part of this role for the successful applicant.
You will be the first person that any school visitor sees upon their arrival, meaning that you are the first impression that is made. It is vital to any school that visitors are welcomed in a manor that is in keeping with the ethos of the school, and here the school is warm, friendly and nurturing.
Regarding system knowledge, you might already have experience is using the previously mentioned packages, in relation to working in the admin office. If so, your previous school experience will enable you to be able to hit the ground running and deliver a seamless transition from the staff member you will be replacing. Of course, you will receive any training that the school would deem appropriate based on their expectation of the outlined duties. You will also be working alongside two other experienced school staff members, who will be very welcoming and keen to mentor you with any gaps in knowledge, if necessary.
