From after the February half term, a one form entry primary school in the Bradford local authority are seeking to recruit a year 2 class teacher to join their school on a fixed term basis, until the end of the summer term. This is a full time opportunity and therefore the successful candidate will be expected to take the lead role in preparing the class for their SATs.
The school itself is a sought after school due to both its quaint and rural location, and also its recent Ofsted inspection, which saw the school rated good and outstanding in all areas. The school also benefits from a very experienced and established senior leadership team who have enabled the school to both develop and progress over the last 5 years. The successful candidate will have continuous classroom support from two highly experienced teaching assistants, who collectively have over 15 years experience of working within year 2 classes.
Due to the timing of this vacancy, the school are requiring a candidate that will be able to hit the ground running and continue to prepare the class for their SATs, therefore the candidate must have already have gained experience delivering the national curriculum within a year 2 class. Due to the duration of the contract, the successful candidate will be expected to undertake the regular duties of a class teacher, whether this be preparing for and attending parents evenings or the preparation of resources to be used within the classroom.
