Graduate TA – Woking

An ideal opportunity has arisen for a Graduate TA to work with SEN students in Further Education.

Some of the responsibilities for this role include:

* Participating in all timetabled activities, providing personal assistance and supervision for students before, during and after lessons
* Assisting students understand and partake set tasks in an appropriate way including note taking and supporting with literacy and numeracy
* Working with the whole class, a small group or individual learners as required
* Encouraging students to demonstrate appropriate social skills as well as behaving appropriately in public settings; including all areas of the College
* Flexibly meeting the individual student's needs while delivering discreet support to named students
* Maintaining individual student records
* Effective communication with other professionals, colleagues, service users and families/carers
* Help to build students' confidence and motivation
* Participating in team meetings and training programmes as an active member of the team, where appropriate
* Working with managers and employees to support the developing culture of the learning organisation
* Follow the College's procedures for child protection/vulnerable adults
* Promoting and supporting the development of the College's Equal Opportunities Policy and ensuring compliance in all aspects of the organisational function; in particular the Learning Support function
* Complying with the College Health and Safety Policy and all relevant Health and Safety requirements
