ASD Teaching Assistant - Chelsea

A “Good” with outstanding qualities Primary School are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant who is trained and experienced working with ASD.

A candidate who has previous experience working with Autistic children is a MUST as is either an Undergraduate Degree or a Level 3.

Supporting a KS1 pupil with ASD the Head Teacher is looking for someone who is confident joining the School from January with the view for it to be a long term role. The aim of this role is to find a suitable Teaching Assistant who would continue support with this pupil as they progress within the School each year. With previous experience of supporting younger children with ASD a Teaching Assistant will be confident with EHCP’s and behaviour management. Additional experience such as PECS, phonics training or Makaton would put a candidate at an advantage.

The Kensington and Chelsea Primary School is a long standing client of Academics, and they are known for their level of support and care for their Staff. Joining this School a Teaching Assistant will be given support from the Class Teacher and especially the SENCo, whom they will work closely with. With great career progression and training provided a Teaching Assistant can very much thrive and excel within their career within this lovely School.

Interviews and trials will be held ideally before Christmas Break, however the School are willing to wait for the right person for this ASD Teaching Assistant role.
