SEN TA Lewisham Year 2

Academics are recruiting on behalf of a school in Lewisham for an SEN TA for a year 2 class.

* Lewisham
* KS1 Year 2
* Mainstream 2 form school
* Full time
* Starting after the October half term

A school in Lewisham School is looking to appoint a bright, engaging Key stage 1 Teaching assistant to help with the education of an SEN student. The child in question struggles with ADHD which is making it difficult for her to concentrate in class. As a result she is currently struggling with her academic attainment. The teaching assistant will be required to engage with the pupil to help them concentrate in class.

This role requires a candidate with experience working as an SEN Teaching assistant within a school. Having experience with ADHD in the past would be ideal but the school will also consider a candidate who has worked with other SEN cases in the past. Training and support will be provided to support the candidate when the role begins.

The School is a mainstream primary school, with a lovely Head Teacher and outstanding reputation. This outstanding leadership understands what the community and the pupils require and this explains why they have been able to achieve such a well rounded educational environment and low turnover rates with teachers.

This role requires a personable candidate with great understanding; capable of building quality relationship with this student in need. The school has fantastic facilities and is located in the out skirts of Lewisham. The facilities allow every pupil to experience a quality education but means they are very capable of integrating SEN needs with the rest of the class.

The staff would like to welcome someone who has a friendly disposition and a pro-active manner, who thrives when working and sharing with a team. The Teaching Assistant will have to have great communication skills in order to coordinate with the teacher so that the SEN Child and the whole class can benefit.

To do this role a candidate must be very confident doing 1 on 1 sessions and most importantly must be extremely passionate about working with SEN students.

This Teaching assistant role begins after the October half term and will be a full-time.
