A highly supportive and excellent South London Primary School is seeking several Graduate Teaching Assistants for an April start.
The support Coordinator expects high calibre graduates that want to have a future career in Education.
The school is a large London Junior School. Teaching is good ( OFSTED 2014 ) and the pupils achieve well over the national and LEA averages in the Year 6 SATs. The pupils’ personal development and well-being are outstanding. The behaviour is excellent. You will be very well supported as a Teaching Assistant in this London school.
The SENCO looks for intelligent, empathetic graduates with endearing personalities. She finds that these attributes fit in well for her Teaching Assistant roles at her school. For part of the day those pupils who find literacy and numeracy challenging are given targeted and individualised group support from chosen teaching assistants – ( Intervention groups ). This has worked well over the years and she wants this repeated again next year. It looks great on a CV when applying for teaching courses.
A major plus point of this school are its extra- curricular activities/clubs. The Art and Music Clubs are outstanding as reflected in the display work and also the choirs/bands. Also, the school have successful football and netball teams. The SENCO really likes those Teaching Assistants that can get involved in the school life. She wants the Teaching Assistants to be proactive and independent.
The School will be interviewing immediately!
Do not miss out - These positions are extremely sought after.
You must hold some previous child related or SEN experience – All voluntary and paid experience will be considered.
