Year 5 Primary Teacher – Maternity Cover
Academics are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Year 5 primary Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Stoke-on-Trent area, covering a maternity absence from November.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a school that is committed to providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment, where children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
The successful teacher will take responsibility for a Year 5 class and will be expected to deliver engaging, well-planned lessons across the full primary curriculum. You will be supported by a dedicated and collaborative team, with a strong focus on achieving positive outcomes for all pupils.
The Role
* Full-time Year 5 class teacher
* Maternity cover commencing November
* Teaching across the full Key Stage 2 curriculum
* Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
* Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
* Working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting the wider school community
* Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a teacher who is:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experienced in teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
* Confident with classroom management and behaviour strategies
* Able to plan and deliver consistently high-quality lessons
* Passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential
* Nurturing, approachable and committed to inclusive education
* A strong team player who will contribute positively to the wider school
This role would suit an experienced teacher looking for a longer-term maternity placement, as well as teachers who are looking to establish themselves within a supportive Stoke-on-Trent primary school.
