SEN Teaching Assistant – Long Term Cover – Stone – Start Date: As soon as possible.
We are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a lovely school in the heart of Stone on a temporary long-term cover basis starting as soon as possible.
To succeed in this role you must be caring, patient and dedicated in supporting a child within a classroom environment. You’ll be working closely alongside the class teacher to provide tailored support throughout the day, adapting learning activities to meet individual needs. Your main responsibility is to provide support for a pupil helping them to access learning, build confidence and thrive within the classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant support to an individual pupil who requires additional help with their learning, behaviour and emotional needs.
* Work closely alongside the class teacher to help every pupil access the curriculum, stay focussed during learning and develop social communication skills.
* The ability to foster and create an inclusive, safe and warm environment for pupils.
* Work alongside teachers, SENCo and external professionals where necessary.
* Supporting the pupil to participate in every aspect of school life whilst promoting confidence, attainment and wellbeing.
We are looking for someone who:
* Has valuable experience working within a primary school environment supporting pupils.
* A reliable, caring and patient individual who has a genuine passion for supporting children within a school environment.
* Must have or willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
* Available to start ASAP.
* Abel to follow guidance and adapt support to individual needs.
* Fully registered to work for Academics.
Pay £93 - £100 per day, depending on experience and responsibilities. Holiday pay is included in the daily rate.
