The Role… Counselling Graduate
As a Counselling Graduate, you will work alongside experienced teachers, pastoral teams, and therapists within specialist SEN schools across Huddersfield. Every day is different, as you support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping them overcome emotional, behavioural, and learning barriers.
Your role may include:
* Providing one-to-one and small group emotional support
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Supporting children with SEMH, autism, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, and communication needs
• Encouraging emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Helping pupils engage with learning and build confidence
• Working collaboratively with teaching, pastoral, and safeguarding teams
