Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with mental health challenges? We are looking for a dedicated Mental Health Support Assistant to join a dynamic school in Wokingham, working with students facing anxiety, trauma, and a range of social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

Working in a school that supports children with complex needs requires resilience, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference in their lives. As a Mental Health Support Assistant, you’ll be part of a compassionate team, supporting students on their journey to recovery and growth.

As a Mental Health Support Assistant, you’ll:
Provide tailored emotional and behavioral support to students dealing with anxiety, trauma, and other mental health challenges
Help students manage their emotions and develop coping strategies in a safe and nurturing environment
Work closely with teachers and mental health professionals to create personalized plans and support strategies
Foster a sense of trust and belonging for students who may have experienced instability and hardship

This isn’t just any teaching role—it’s about being part of a team that helps children rebuild their confidence and find their voice. To work in a social, emotional, and mental health school, it takes patience, dedication, and the ability to respond with empathy to difficult situations. The rewards are immeasurable, as you’ll help students discover their potential in a supportive and structured environment.

With an ASAP start, consistent hours (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM), and competitive pay, this is a brilliant opportunity for anyone passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable young people.
