Moving from a permanent music teacher role is always frightening, but teaching in a school that enables job satisfaction should be the goal. Within this secondary Torfaen School, you will put your creativeness and musical ear to the test where you will help create school plays and workshops. If you’re feeling undervalued, and not getting the opportunities to share your passion then this role will suit you! Alternatively, this would be a perfect first role for an NQT as you will be surrounded by a supportive department. This music teacher role will commence on the 1st September 2026 and will continue until the end of the 2027/28 academic year. You will be expected to teach students to play an instrument and to read and understand music.

* Use innovative and diverse teaching methods that supports the national curriculum
* Use regular assessments to monitor progress and set targets

Required Skills and Qualifications for a Music Teacher

* Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
* Valid DBS (Can be produced through us)
* Registered with the Educational Workforce Council (EWC) (Can be produced through us)

Desirable Skills for a Music Teacher

* Full driving licence and have access to a car
* You live in or near Caerphilly
