Are you an experienced ALN Support Assistant looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity in Cardiff from September 2026?
We are a specialist education recruitment agency currently seeking a dedicated ALN Support Assistant to join a specialist resource base (SRB) within a mainstream Primary School in Cardiff. This is a 5 day a week position starting on 1st September 2026.
This role would suit a skilled Teaching Assistant who thrives in an inclusive environment, is passionate about supporting pupil development, and is looking for a stable, long-term position within a supportive school community in Cardiff.
As an ALN Support Assistant, you will:
* Provide tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs within an SRB setting
* Help create an engaging, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
* Work collaboratively with teachers, ALNCOs, and wider support staff
* Promote independence, confidence, and positive outcomes for learners
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and their families
What We're Looking For
* Strong experience working as a Teaching Assistant or ALN Support Assistant
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional learning needs
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
