PE Teacher – (Luton Area)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed PE Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Luton area from September 2026. This is a permanent position, recruited on behalf of the school by Academics.
The school is seeking an enthusiastic teacher of Physical Education who can inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, and contribute positively to a dynamic and supportive PE department. The successful candidate will be confident delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that promote participation, achievement, and a lifelong love of sport and physical activity.
The school offers a welcoming and well-resourced environment with strong leadership and a clear focus on student development both academically and personally. Staff are well supported through ongoing professional development and a collaborative working culture.
The successful candidate will:
* Hold QTS (or be on track to achieve it by September 2026)
* Have strong subject knowledge across PE curriculum areas
* Be able to deliver high-quality lessons to mixed-ability groups
* Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills
* Show commitment to extracurricular sport and wider school life
* Be a positive role model for young people
The role includes:
* Teaching PE across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 may be available depending on experience)
* Contributing to extra-curricular clubs, fixtures, and school sports events
* Supporting whole-school initiatives to promote health, fitness, and wellbeing
* Working collaboratively within a dedicated PE department
