Through Academics , a friendly and welcoming primary school in Cheltenham is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team. Opportunities are available across EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2, making this an excellent chance to gain broad primary experience while making a genuine difference to pupils’ confidence and progress.

In this role, you won’t just support learning- you’ll help shape positive attitudes to school, encourage independence, and become a trusted adult who pupils rely on each day. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key part in helping children feel motivated, included, and proud of their achievements.

Key Details:

* Teaching Assistant
* ASAP Start
* Primary Mainstream School
* £90–£105 per day (depending on experience)
* Cheltenham
* Full-time (8:30–3:30)
* Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to apply)
* Term-time only

Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons
* Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
* Provide additional support for children with emerging or identified needs
* Help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
* Assist with behaviour management and encourage focus and participation
* Support pupils’ social development and confidence in school routines
