Year 6 Primary School Teacher – Stafford – Long Term: Until end of academic year – Required: As soon as possible!
We are currently looking to recruit a dedicated and highly experienced Year 6 Class Primary Teacher. This would be looking to start asap to cover a maternity. You will be working in a reputable Catholic, Primary school located in the heart of Stafford, working alongside a supportive staff cohort and within a reputable, highly regarded Multi Academy Trust. You will need to have experience of teaching a Year 6 class, seeing them through the busiest time of the year… SAT’s . For this position, full-time availability is necessary, as you'll be covering a long-term placement through to the end of the academic year and will be expected to take on full teacher responsibilities.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a lovely Catholic Primary School, teaching the Year 6 class. You will be working for a reputable agency – Academics, covering a long-term placement within one of our partner schools. The successful candidate is required to have substantial experience teaching within a Year 6 class. You must be confident in delivering high-quality lessons across the whole of the Year 6 National Curriculum. The class have good attainment and contribution to school and lessons; you must have excellent behaviour management skills in order to maintain the strong behaviour levels and be secure in preparing pupils for the KS2 SAT’s. You must be confident in working effectively as part of a team in order to support the pupils and the staff at the busiest time of year within school.
The role includes:
* Working for a reputable education agency – Academics Ltd.
* Confidence in teaching a Year 6 class – supporting them through the busiest period of the year… SAT’s.
* Full class teacher responsibilities including; marking, planning and assessing.
* The ability to create and deliver lessons to suit your class and following the school’s planning policies.
* Managing classroom behaviour effectively, implementing the school’s behaviour policy when necessary.
* Commute to Stafford daily – working in a reputable Catholic Primary School.
* Working collaboratively with staff and parents is essential.
* Flexibility to adapt quickly to a school setting on a temporary basis.
* We are looking for someone who:
* Qualified Teaching Status (QTS). This role is not open to ECT’s.
* Strong, secure knowledge of the National Curriculum.
* Experience working within a Year 6 class.
* Outstanding behaviour management.
* Experienced in supporting pupils through SAT’s.
* Enhanced DBS.
* Provide 2 teaching references.
* Able to commute to Stafford.
* Fully registered to work with Academics.
Pay: £140 - £170 a day (dependent upon experience). Holiday pay is included on day rate.
