1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – KS2
Location: Wandsworth
Contract: Full-Time | Term Time Only
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
Academics are currently working in partnership with a warm, welcoming, and inclusive mainstream primary school in the heart of Wandsworth. The school is seeking a committed and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a KS2 pupil with Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Responsibilities
*
Provide consistent 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil across the school day
*
Support emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and engagement with learning
*
Implement and follow individual behaviour support plans and SEN strategies
*
Encourage social interaction and independence where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate
*
Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN, ideally in a mainstream or SEN setting
*
A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour support
*
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
*
A proactive and flexible attitude, with a genuine passion for SEN
